If your property was damaged or broken into, you should do the following:

  • Document exactly what happened
  • Note the time and location of the incident
  • Take as many pictures/videos of the damage as possible
  • Make a list of any items that are damaged or missing
  • Keep all receipts of any expenses associated with the incident
  • Keep a record of any investigating officers including name, badge number, and occurrence number.

Condo insurance is for people who own a condominium. It covers liability and contents as well as any upgrades you make within your condo or any assessments levied against you by your condo corporation in the event your condo corporation is under insured.

Most of our insurance partners will provide a discount after you have been claims free for 3 or more years. The claim will be considered on your record for 5 years in total.

  • If your property has just been damaged or broken into, the most important thing to remember is to stay calm. You should then check for injuries and contact the police immediately if someone is injured or if you are in danger.
  • Once everyone is safe, you should secure the property by double checking that all windows, doors, and gates are intact. If your property has been severely damaged, contact an emergency claims service provider immediately.
