Vehicle Insurance

• An insurance broker solicits, sells, and negotiates insurance contracts to clients. Their job is to survey the market, get quotes, and share options for customers to choose from.
• Typically, they help individuals or businesses find and purchase car insurance, home insurance, business insurance, and farm insurance.  They are regulated by RIBO (Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario) in Ontario and must obtain the licenses required to operate.

There are several factors that can affect how much you pay for automobile insurance. A few of these factors include: the type of vehicle you drive, the experience levels of each driver in the household, your accident history, and the year, make, model, and body type of the vehicle.

If you are involved in an accident, you should collect the following information:

•  Pictures/videos of the scene
•  Date and time of accident
•  Location of accident
•  How the accident happened
•  Damage to your vehicle
•  Damage to other vehicle(s)

If another driver or drivers were involved, make sure that you have their:

•  Name and driver’s license number
•  Insurance company and policy number
•  Owner’s name, address, and phone number
•  Vehicle year, make, model and plate number
